Ready for another reading list?

If you like mystery/murder/spy/detective type of novels, here are a few good ones:

Daniel Silva is considered a thinking-man’s mystery/spy writer—really one of the best current bestselling author in this genre. Try to read his books in chronological sequence because the characters are recurring, even though each book can be read independently. They are all good. Some of the titles I like are:

The Mark of the Assassin
The Marching Season
The English Assassin

Nelson DeMille is also my favorite. He writes police detective type novels, and he’s extremely funny too. His best book is “Plum Island”. Some have been made into movies, e.g., The General’s Daughter.

Donna Tartt’s stories are dark and very unusual. She wrote “The Secret History”, and “The Little Friend”.

Everyone likes John Grisham, although his most recent books are losing the brilliance of his earlier books. If you haven’t read his books yet, I envy you, because you’ve got a lot of enjoyable hours ahead of you.
